If you are considering an independent school education for your child, attend the Early Steps Virtual School Fair to hear directly from representatives at the school(s) of your choice. This is an important first step in the independent school application process, as it will help you determine the best educational environment for your child.

How it works –
  • The independent schools listed on the left will host one 20-minute info session on Zoom between Sep 24 and Sep 26, 2024. Each will include 5 minutes of Q&A.
  • You may attend as many sessions as you want, to learn about different schools
  • Use the form below to indicate that you would like to participate, then watch for an email with more instructions about signing up for specific sessions with the school(s) of your choice
This event is open to the public. Attendance to the event is free, but registration is required.

About us: Early Steps is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps children of color access independent/private school education in New York City starting in kindergarten and first grade by providing personalized, hands-on guidance to families. The Early Steps process begins a year before children actually enter school – so if your child is entering kindergarten or first grade in fall 2025, you should apply now for our program.
